In 2012 my father purchased a cheap Ion turntable with a USB connection, he connected it to his HP Windows Vista PC and started transfering parts of his record collection. Eventually the stylus fell off and he was unable to find a replacement. These transfers were poor. Not only were they recorded into iTunes, and not only were they mono, but it was only one audio channel.
One of the records he transfered in this manner was Excitable Boy. Sadly, this and some of his other records have been lost to time, he moved four times in as many years between 2017 and 2020, so that crate is probably long gone now.
